How it works

At the heart of our business is our unique and proprietary BMS Biological Process Technology which provides a highly cost-effective and efficient alternative to traditional waste and wastewater treatment methods and systems.

Unlike most conventional methods, the BMS Biological Process Technology produces insignificant residual sludge, and almost no detectable objectionable odour in the treated water and treatment system.

This is because our BMS Biological Process Technology integrates two key elements that work in synergy with each other.

Firstly, it utilizes a proprietary BMS blend of microorganisms that mimics the natural eco-system. These microorganisms are selected based on their degradation abilities and efficiencies, their hardiness and ability to co-exist and grow in mutual association with each other.

The BMS microorganisms consist of four main types of microorganisms that digest most of the organic pollutants present in the wastewater, and effectively transform and degrade them into environmentally benign substances.

The four major types of microorganisms are:

photosynthetic microorganisms that provide a symbiotic component with aerobic bacteria, as well as the assimilation of sulfur;

lactobacillus that degrades food processing compounds;

yeast that degrades protein; and

streptomyces that degrades aromatic
compounds such as phenols and benzoates.

Secondly, the engineering design used in the BMS Biological Process System enhances the degradation environment and optimizes the operating conditions.

Three bioreactors or tanks are arranged in series for fermentation, degradation, and digestion, respectively. Each of these tanks is aerated using the specially designed aerator pipes with ultra-fine holes (air-spargers) placed near the bottom of each of the tanks. These air-spargers provide a steady flow of micro-sized air bubbles into the tanks, resulting in airlift circulation which effectively increases the amount of dissolved oxygen required for bio-degradation.

These air-spargers are specially designed for our BMS Biological Process Technology.

The three tanks are so designed and arranged to simulate the natural ecosystem for the microorganisms to co-exist, thrive and work in. The result is a highly effective decomposition of the pollutants in the wastewater.
