What the Expert Says

An expert from Singapore has given the thumbs up to the significant advantages that our BMS Biological Process Technology offers in the treatment of waste and wastewater.

In an independent study, conducted in 2003, by Dr Loh Kai Chee, Associate Professor, Department of Chemical & Environmental Engineering of The National University of Singapore, he said,

"…the BMS Biological Process Technology is a novel and unique application of biological processes to wastewater treatment."

Dr Loh's study also supports the following claims that waste and wastewater treated by the BMS proprietary blend of microorganisms and biological process system have :

Insignificant detectable
objectionable odour

No requirement for residual sludge treatment, which is a typical by-product of the biological wastewater process

He noted in the study that "the claims of the technology being odourless during operation, and without the need for secondary sludge disposal are substantiated and authenticated".

In addition, the study also noted that our BMS Biological Treatment System enjoys:

Flexibility in installation

Lower operating and maintenance costs

According to Dr Loh, the BMS system can be installed either above ground or underground, and requires 90% less space than conventional activated sludge treatment systems since there is no need for secondary sludge disposal facilities.

Due to its simplicity in design and instrumentation needed, our BMS system is approximately 30% lower in operating costs.
